“Bruce Hendricks completed his LLB at the University of the Western Cape in 2010,he heads up our Criminal Department and is the driving force behind Hendricks-Harmse Attorneys. He is highly professional and highly skilled in all aspects of criminal litigation, but is not limited hereto. He has vast experience in High Court and Magistrate’s Court litigation and has made his appearance in courts throughout the Western Cape as well as the Gauteng Province.
He has successfully dealt with various matters including the obtaining of interdicts against the SAPS for unlawful behaviour; juvenile arrests; unlawful detentions and High Court litigation and has successfully secured bail throughout the Western Cape. He has in the past successfully represented many high-profile clients which resulted in these clients being acquitted or charges withdrawn, adding to his high success rate.
Bruce kick-started his career at a well – known civil law firm before moving to the Legal Aid Unit where he enjoyed many successes despite the immense workload. He then went on to form a vital part of a relentless team of criminal law attorneys at a well – known and highly respected Cape Town firm. Bruce is a well-rounded Criminal Litigator and as head of operations is striving to make Hendricks-Harmse Attorneys one of the leading law firms in the Province. Bruce has also obtained his qualification as a formal conflict and dispute mediator. He is a tenacious attorney who strives for client satisfaction by handling each matter professionally, individually and objectively.”

Kaylynne Stuurman completed her LLB at the University of the Western Cape in 2016 and joined our firm in 2018 after ceding her articles from a prominent corporate law firm in the Cape Winelands. She has a high work ethic and an animated, ungovernable loyalty towards her clients and would go to the extreme to ensure her clients are satisfied and happy.
Ms. Stuurman has appeared in various courts in the Western Cape and she has vast experience in High Court and Magistrate’s Court criminal litigation, civil litigation and divorce proceedings. Ms. Stuurman also assist many clients in instituting and defending Protection/Harassment Orders and has a high success rate. Ms. Stuurman forms part of our After Hours Bail Team and has excellent skills in securing bail for her clients after hours.
Ahmad Adams graduated from the University of the Western Cape in 2020 and later completed Law School (LEAD) in 2021. He joined the Hendricks Harmse Attorneys team in 2021 after ceding his articles from a Civil firm in the Northern Suburbs. He has a passion for litigation and there is no challenge too big or small when it comes to defending his clients and their rights. Mr. Adams has great success in after hour bail applications and has on many occasions walked more than the extra mile to secure his clients release. Mr. Adams also forms part of our After Hours Bail team.
Nur-Jehan Maneveld completed her LLB degree at the University of the Western Cape in March 2022. Thereafter she attended and completed Law School (LEAD) in August 2022. Ms. Maneveld joined Hendricks Harmse Attorneys in February 2023. She has a great passion for criminal litigation and was drawn to the legal profession out of a desire to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Ms. Maneveld forms part of our After Hours Bail team and her duties include that of new client consults and inquiries, drafting and research of legal documents, consultations and court and after-hour attendances.
